This project is a meeting point to craft possible ways of coming together in a safe space. In this project, I aim to study alternative spatial formations to bring people together to reveal embodied fear to break physical and psychological borders. To break the frontiers, they need to do nothing but watch each other. Since the furniture will be made by pestil, it will be remained ‘consumption’. In this case, borders between people and uncomfortable feelings will be consumed by reducing the lines. The installation will be actively used and be a part of the design process. The aim is to provide ways of building collective trust and healing in a world full of violence and terrorism. Furthermore, by designing and building such an avant-garde edible space with its unusual material (pestil; dried fruit layers), I aim to challenge the conventional aesthetic norms of consuming and producing a space.
