Spaces Between (sbarchlab) is an interdisciplinary architecture and design laboratory founded in 2020 by Gülistan KenanoÄŸlu. The practice explores transformation of urban-rural landscapes by envisioning alternative spaces and scenarios through speculative thinking. By integrating tools from architecture, design and curatorial practice, sbarchlab operates as a platform for critical spatial experimentation. At the heart of sbarchlab lies a commitment to shaping more just and imaginative urban futures - both locally and globally. Rooted in philosophical inquiry, the lab engages with the deeper structures behind socio-political and environmental challenges, offering alternative frameworks that question dominant narratives and explore the ethical, aesthetic, and spatial dimensions of contemporary life.
